Overwhelmed with clinical?

  1. I am in my last semester of a ADN program. We started our clincial this week and it is leadership. We went form have one or two pts to five pts. I spent more time charting than with my pts. I did not have time to take a break or even go to the bathroom. I am just wondering if anyone elso out there is having the same problem. I could use some support.

This part of clinical can be overwhelming. Stick with it... you'll adapt. Its really important that you do because once you're out there in the real world this is exactly what you'll be facing as a nurse (unless you work on some other kind of unit) I know its hard, but hang in there. You can do it!

Ginger look at yourself as a student. Your learning. Your creating your path and learning to multi-task which is not easy and can be overwhelming for anyone even some of the masters/big smile.

This is where your practicing and learning. Your right where you should be-honing your skills and tying everything together. Don't be so hard on yourself.
