  1. Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you found A&P and Microbiology to be more difficult than the nursing courses themselves?

Yes. I struggle most with the science subjects - anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, patho. Nursing stuff I ace, easy. I have to work hard to score a pass.

The sciences can be very tough. It depends on the instructor. I find the nursing courses to be equally challenging, however, once you get in the groove you will know how to study and how to rationalize concepts.

I haven't because our nursing classes are built on the understanding of A&P & micro. In order to understand what your priorities are as a nurse (or even why the drugs your dispensing are working), you need to understand the pathophysiology of what's going on, in order to understand the pathophysiology, you need to have a good understanding of the A&P and microbiology of what should be happening.

So, my nursing classes require me to understand the A&P, micro, pathophysiology, pharmacology AND the nursing priorities and interventions.

A&P and micro, just required either A&P or micro.
