need advice for nursing schools

Hi, I am currently taking prereqs at a JC and want to apply for nursing program at CSU Sac, CSU Chico. However, my concern is that I have a C in microbiology and B in chem and A&P part 1. My overall GPA with all the other prerequisite is 3.45 and Im taking the TEAS in August. My fear is that I wont be accepted in any nursing program but I'm looking for advice or any other universities where I can apply for nursing.

Possibly if you post on the forum for your state, people will have an idea what "JC", "CSU Sac" and "CSU Chico" mean and would be better able to answer your questions.

Look at the California board of nursing site, and find the lust of school, and then you need to go through each school and figure out how they slept students to see if you have a good chance or not. Some community colleges are a lottery system so that may be better for your chances. Every school is different on selection

I think almost everyone accepted to Sac has a 4.0 and high TEAS scores. I don't know about Chico. I do know that when I was considering a different Cal State, I went to an informational meeting and they told us the average GPA and TEAS scores of those who had been accepted the previous year.

Yes, Ive heard about the lottery system but I'm kind of iffy about it because my college only lets me apply in the fall and I have to wait a year to start nursing. But I went on the CA board of nursing website, did not know about that. Thank you!

Yeah I saw the requirements thats why Im leaning more towards different Cal State than Sac. Thank you and yeah I will definetly attend one of these informational seminars. Thank You!

When I was applying for nursing schools I went to California's BRN website. I clicked on every single school listed on there and looked at their requirements and admitted students GPA and TEAS scores. With that info I had an idea of whether or not I had a shot at getting in. It can get tedious, but it is very helpful.

yes, I did this and found a lot of schools and I guess I'm seeing that there is hope lol
