My turn to have exam anxiety!!

  1. Tomorrow is our first exam in A&P. It will cover the first five chapters (from terminology to integamentary). The prof says not to sweat the first exam, but he only gives five exams, each covering about 5 chapters. I just told hubby that I MAY be finished around midnight and it's only 12:30 in the afternoon now. I've highlighted everything he went over and think I have a pretty good grasp on the's the little things that worry me though. So I will read, read, read, absorb, absorb, absorb, and hope that I do ok.

Oh and to add to that we have a lab practical exam on Monday where we have to look at 26 slides and name what we are looking at or what is going on!! Whoohoo...feel my excitement!!

Got my grade back!!! Got a B-, if I would have paid attention to three of the questions I would have gotten an A, but that's ok...I'm happy!! How's everyone else doing on their exams?

A's and B's, you're all doing great! I also got a couple tests back today. I got an A on my second A&P test, and another A on my second Dev. Psych test. My A&P teacher took it easy on us for this test, instead of 235 questions like the first test, this one only had 215. LOL At least I'm learning!

Good for us!! I hope we can all keep up the good work!

Good job everyone!!! I blew a practical lab exam today. I'm not good with microscopes and cells at all, luckily there were only 25 and it only counted for 50 points out of 1000 for the whole course. Maybe it will be better on the next one! Anyone else have practical lab exams in A&P?

Hey, you guys! I don't want to sound like an Old Fogey Auntie here, but I want to say that A & P is one of the classes with the most practical application for what you will be doing. Think of all those bones and muscles and innards and how they work together as if they are a patient you are actually taking care of. This is information you are going to be using every single day. And it's fascinating - (yeah, right!) Anyway, try not to just get through it but hopefully have time to think about it's application. Okay, that's my little sermon. Wishing you all the very best!

I agree that learning the systems etc (visual side of it) and how they function is facinating, but what does looking through a microscope and recognizing cells have to do with nursing. Other than in research, I've never heard of a nurse that uses a microscope during their everyday work. Maybe I'm wrong?
