Hi, in 2005 hopefully i will be entering one of the most difficult nursing schools in the nation. But, before that i need to graduate. For all technical purposes i am graduated, but first i need to finish up a report. [i'm homeschooled by the bye], in this report i need some information about nursing school, the really gruesome stuff, as my father put's it. So, i am asking you, those IN nursing school to help me out by just telling me anything about what it's like going through nursing school, any specific challenges you are being faced with, anything that you wish you knew before you went into nursing school, words of wisdom, any stories you want shared, ANYTHING! All right, well any help will be appreciated. Ok, thanks!

My suggestion would be for you to do some reading through all the different threads on this site, you'll get a TON of information for your report and it will be really interesting reading! Good luck!

I am just curious, what school are you going to be attending? How do you know it is one of the hardest? Is there some sort of ranking list and if so where did you get it? I have always wondered how my school would stack up.

As for the info you need, Mariedoreen hit the nail on the head!

Good luck

I'm not sure, but I think soliciting help for research papers is against the policy here.

I'm also curious which nursing school you're entering.

I don't know if there is a list, but, I have researched it, spoke with many nurses and I have been told that it is one of the hardest nursing schools in the country, it's an undiscovered treasure of Michigan, it's actually the community college in my county, it is one of the hardest programs to get into. I am spending a year on the list, and within that year i have to maintain a 4.0 GPA, or at the lowest (and that's under special circumstances) is a 3.5 GPA. Oh, yeah it's Monroe County Community College (The Cube).

That's funny, because I was told that MY community college program was one of the hardest nursing programs in the country! LOL

One good thing to do is look at their NCLEX pass rate and the school's graduation rate vs. initial enrollment. That will give you a good idea about how difficult they are.

THat sounds like a very competitive entry system. Look on the bright side though, with candidates like that your attrition rate should stay low.

Caminurse and HelllllllllllllllllloNurse, thank you for the compliment! I take it you have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
