I'm passing meds tomarrow in clinical. This week, we are not going to receive our patient info. until we get to the hospital. We usually get it the night before so we can look up meds and other information we may need. I'm pretty nervous! Just pray for me. Pray that I remain calm! :) Thank you!

I'm not sure if today (Tuesday) is your "tomorrow" or if you mean tomorrow (Wednesday). Anyhoo, best of luck; you'll do fine. Just don't forget to know what your patient is receiving the drug for and when you go to give the med, know the hospital's policy in id'ing the pt....Ask the patient to state their name while you check their armband.

Take a nice deep breath and stay focused. Confidence is a powerful tool!

You guys are all awesome! The prayers really worked. I had so much confidence today, and my patient was great. Confidence is key!

WTG! :)

I was always told the key was to always look as though you know what you're doing and act like you have done it 50 bazillion times before. That advice certainly helped the first time I put a foley in. My patient never batted an eyelash and my instructor asked me later, "That wasn't your first time, was it?" I turned to her, smiled, and said "Yup!" :p
