Thanks to luck and common sense, I made straight A's through nursing school, until the very last class. I made an 89.9 in that class, I missed an A by 1 test question. The real kicker of the deal was this, during the final I asked a question about a test item, because two answers were correct, the TA said, "oh just pick one, you are right, she'll probably take both answers." My choices were A and C, I chose A because it was the first option. After the final, the TA walked up to me and said that the Prof said she wasn't taking anything on any test question besides what her key said. I didn't argue (you can't argue on the NCLEX) but what a way to go out.

That being said, my B didn't stop me from getting the job that I wanted.

I am so with you. I have ruined my GPA with these classes! Took my previous 4.0 into Fundamentals 18 months ago - missed an A by 0.39 points; thus effectively demolishing the 4.0 (8 credit class). Dont remember Concepts I exactly, I think it was by less than 2 points so not as close/annoying; it was also a B in an 8 credit class (that's my GPA you hear falling.) Just finished Concepts II (yet another 8 credit class) and missed the A by 0.12. Ugh!

I am with you too-missed 2 A's this semester by .3 and .6 !!! It sucks to be so close. And it has nothing to do with "blessings"--it has to do with hard work. Anyway, I understand where you are coming from ! (((HUGS)))

Yeah I missed an A once by .5! I was so mad thinking if I had only gotten one more question right.....

I'm joining the club. I missed my A in Psych by one question.

I have also maintained straight A's and this is a really hard one to swallow. It would be a lot easier if I had a middle range B.

In Nursing School I have never had a class that equally weighed anything:(

Our (3) exams in Psych were 50 questions and worth 25% grade each

The (1) quiz was 25 questions and a whopping 5%

grrrrr

everything is about blessings. i worked very hard to get the grades that i got and thank god for every a,b,and c that was given. so don't talk to me about hard work because i have done my share! maybe because i know that i am blessed, passing is good enough for me and knowing that so many wish they could be in my shoes, makes me work even harder and increase my gratefulness!all blessings come from god!

I seem to always be on the borderline! Last semester (Fundamentals 1st semester), I could only miss 6 on the final to keep my A. Well, I missed 6! Ended up with a 92.5% and they do round up! This semester in Med/surg, I can only miss 7 to keep my A. Unfortunately, it's 100 questions worth 2 pts each, so in reality, I can only miss 6 AGAIN!

Last night I had my Mental Health final. I can only miss 12 to keep my A. I had 13 questions that were really irking me! The wording was horrible on most of those. That would leave me no room for error on the other 87 questions and would have to get at least one of the 13 right. I'm really bummed. I'll just have to wait and see my grade tomorrow.

I feel for you! I'm already prepping myself for that first (maybe even second)B that may be coming my way. Unfortunately, the hospitals I will be applying to DO want a copy of your transcript!

I'd rather be 10 points away and .6 away. That does bite. I remember being .8 away from an A in nursing school the one quarter I didn't make an A. Recently in my RN to BSN program I was a point away from a A and got an A -. That minus irritated me because it brought down my 4.0.

Anyway, you're doing a great job! Keep up the good work.

I got an 89.8 in my maternity/pediatrics class. I'm hoping to be rounded up to a 90 (A-) but we'll see. I am not holding my breath.

Geez, why the eye roll at my post? We all have different challenges or disappointments in our lives.

what is everyone complaining about. i was on edge to make a c. you all need to count your blessings.

wow, didn't even make it past the first page without running across a post of this line...

or that.

not everyone shares the opinion or belief that everything is about blessings or that blessings come from god.
