Hello everyone -=) I will be a new student come September.. for the Practical nursing program.... Just wanted to know if anyone had any advice for me....Like is there anything I could be reading now to prepare for it,,,
I will be completing my first semester next week...:hatparty: . Anyway, the advice I would give to anyone starting a program would be to KEEP UP WITH YOUR READING!!! It may be hard to get ahead, but try to stay current. I don't mean read the whole chapter because some of the reading is ridiculous. Look at the key words of the chapter, charts, tables, bold headings, etc so you can have an idea of what is going on in lecture. That way when u read is throughly you can have a better understanding AND if there is a quiz you will be prepared. We had a lot of quizzes because people were not reading. Also, if you can get a couple of your textbooks start skimming through them, so that you can see what you are facing.
Enjoy your break though and don't think about it too much. You will miss these days come October.
Good luck to you
. I am sure you are nervous an excited at the same time! I love school, even though it is a challenge. You can do it and welcome to the wild world of nursing!!!
