keep your chin up, the semester is almost over! You can do it! I think most of us have hit the wall so to speak with the semester. Just try your best to take a deep breath, regroup, and focus on one task at a time. You will make it!!:pumpiron:

Well, let's see... If you're in Med serg 1, then that means you have less than a year to graduate, and if you generally like nursing , then stick with it and don't let the program stress you out. I just started the program , and I have a fresh idea of how much committment and money you already put into this. I would say to study a little more for your exams. You probably have to work, like most people in this program, or have some other influence taking up your time.. Your not supposed to have a life while you are in this program, so bite your bottom lip- you can get throught it!! You just really have to put that time aside. Nursing is much more rewarding then cosmetology.- I did cosmo while I was in high school. It really makes a big difference to have a nurse when you need one. You'll know if this is your thing deep in your heart. God doesn't put you through anything your ment to do that you can't handle. You can do it!!

Well, if 75 is the passing and you have a 76, hang in there. You're still passing. Don't give up yet.

I knooooooow how you feel! Our passing grade is 76% and I think I have a 79%. Which I have worked so stinkin hard for. So Im scared shitless about passing too. My only thoughts are that we just have to give it our best try, and see what happens.

I am so stressed right now with finals coming up, and so much information to know. Im drowning too!

Hey, kids, we have to make 80% or better in my program. Well, if you make 79.5 they round it up to 80. But if you end up with 79.4, you are out of luck. You are allowed to retake the course one time. Most of us in my classes are experiencing extreme burn-out. Nursing school is hard because you have to stay focused. However, I see the end of the semester in sight and know I can make it. And so can you! Just hang on a little bit longer, even if it's by the nails!

ShimmyMeli....75=RN. I needed a 77 to pass I got a 77.4. Talk about being close. But hey...I am now an RN. I know it is a hard thing to accept when you are used to getting higher grades...but what I learned in nursing school was it was stressful enough without adding more pressure and that in the grand scheme of things pts do not care whether you got all A's or all C's as long as you knew how to take care of them properly and keep them safe. All A's does not guarantee a good nurse...all C's does not mean a bad nurse. Good luck to you!!

I feel everyone's pain, believe me! I just took my 5th exam and came out in tears, :crying2: along with everyone else. Between being burnt out, sleep deprived, no life outside of cleaning poop on the clinicals, and falling asleep trying to keep up with the assignments I too am worried about my GPA. I have never worried so much in my life and this is new to me. I have always had A's and now I am struggling for B's or C's - it is really hitting me hard. I know this is what I want to do and I have the support of my friends and family but &*!@ I'm tired! I have my first head to toe assessment exam for my clinical instructor in 2 weeks and I swear I think I will end up with an ulcer before I can even perform it for her.

My next clinicals is my 2nd medsurg and I will end up doing care plans with pharms...any suggestions???? Please tell me it gets better. Thanks for letting me blow off some steam...whew, I needed this. ;)

Hang in there... you've made it a long way.

Keep the faith! We too have to keep a 80% to pass courses, and clinicals are pass/fail only, but after this much work, all it takes is one BAD test and you get screwed. Our hope is that study groups and reading a lot of powerpoints/notes will help. Final is all semester and there's two of them in one week. Plus writing a careplan for a random client for clinical final....good luck for me.

Thanks you guys! you all are great. I feel a lot better now I'm glad you feel my pain...well wait no i'm not glad about that..ya know what I mean!! :p..Im just going to bite the bullet, keep my chin up and kick some @**.....Only one more month!!! I feel bad for others in my class as well..some aren't doing so hot either..that's ok! Im going to initiate study groups and study like a freaking mad woman..OK!! can I get a HOO YAHH!!! alright...we'll see how long this motivation lasts..lol

Good job! I was the same way during spring break. All i did was sit at home and think about how much work it was and all that good stuff, so when i got back i pretty much had my mind made up, but my 3 best girlfriends in the program sat me down and we had a come to jesus talk, and they convinced me to stay and im so glad I did! Good luck to you!
