Good movie for the newly married- Fireproof. Whether you agree with the religious aspects or not, the plan is great. Also the book "Love and Respect"- no expert here by any means, but we learned some new things from both and it helped make a good marriage even better. I know you didn't specifically ask for this at all, but I can't help myself, lol.

Being newly married and newly an RN, while both wonderful changes, can be very stressful. Have a plan to vent that stress through whatever floats your boat (ex- exercise, prayer, allnurses) is really key. You'll see- when you have RN after your name, it's a whole new ballpark. I've got to say the first year of both nursing and marriage were the most stressful to me, and are to many other people I've talked with. My husband and I actually came up with a "code word" that was funny and made us laugh to break the tension if an argument, or *ahem* "discussion was getting too heated. I remember we made a rule to only argue outside the door of our tiny apartment. Certainly made being nice to each other a lot easier with witnesses.

I'm just saying, with all the stress you're under right now (new job, new home, new grad, new husband) don't be surprised if it feels like a lot on your plate. Have a plan to take care of the stress before it gets worse.
