We have an exit exam we have 2 attemps to pass. If you don't you have to redo the last 6 months of classes.
We were told this the first day we stepped into class.
I personally think its a crock but know exactly why my school does it..they boast their 100% pass rate of 1st time NCLEX takers. The exit exam we have to take has been said to be much much harder than the NCLEX..ensuring the school, that those who are border line with passing the NCLEX will fail out with the exit exam.

YUP exit HESI here too.. and they say they are way harder than the NCLEX. My school aslo has a very high pass rate and they dont want to lose that. HESI is the DEVIL!

I'm not sure which test system we use, but we get 3 tries to pass it, have to pay the other 2 if we don't pass on first shot. Last year, they changed system so that anyone who failed all 3 tests, just had to take the Kaplan review at school.....pass rate fell so much, they changed it right back! I'm just worried...but, hey, what's pressure? not like we'd know anything about that in NS!

We got grandfathered in, but next semester will have to get 85% on the ATI predictor.

We were told we would have to take the HESI as well. We take it during 5th semester in NUR429. We have three tries to take it and if we don't pass we get an incomplete for the course and have to repeat it. We have three more attempts to take it upon repeating the course and if we don't pass they still let us graduate. Hopefully we'll just pass on the first go round and call it a day!!

HESI Hater here. We take this stupid test next Friday (2 weeks before graduation), and if we don't get an 850 or higher, we don't graduate. Can you imagine that? Being so close to graduation and failing because of one test???? Doesn't matter if you made straight A's in every class throughout the program. I'm scared to even order graduation announcements for fear of embarrassment if I fail. We only get 2 tries to pass it. I'm beyond petrified of this test:o.

We have a HESI exit exam and a mid-curricular exam that we must pass in order to progress into our third semester. I'm not looking forward to either.

We have to take the HESI exit test, plus each of our final exams for each course in a HESI, worth 25% of our grade. Hopefully the finals will prepare us well for both the HESI exit and the NCLEX.

I took it about a month ago, it wasn't required for graduation per se but it was 10% of our grade in one class. The school is going to make it a graduation requirement for the class after us, I believe.
It was hard, but I did really well and I think it is helpful to know exactly what you need to work on.
