we went in on thursday for an orientation for school. we were fitted for our clinical uniform. i was pleasantly surprised. our uniforms are a ceil blue scrub that has our school emblem patch! looks just like any other set of scrubs just with a patch! i was happy!! no polos, no button up top, no dress pant type pants..etc!! the only thing i don't like is these scrubs are made huge! people who normally wore a large in any other scrub were in mediums (and even then the were still a bit big) and they are loooonnnnggg! being under 5ft tall, most any pants are long but these were really long. but hey, i can have them hemmed (made friends with the lady who owns a uniform shop in my town and she told me she'd hem them for free for me..as it is, she gives a nice discount to the students in my school!) so we have the ceil blue scrub top with normal scrub bottoms and a lab coat..all in the ceil blue.
so, do you love your clinical uniform or hate it..and why?

I'm actually a pretty big fan of mine. I think they look really professional. We have polo shirts with our school name and "nursing student" embroidered on them, flare-leg cargo scrub pants, and an embroidered lab coat. We certainly stand out as students, but I think the overall look is pretty put-together.

I like ours, too. They're royal blue scrubs, with our school name embroidered over the left pocket. Very simple. Ours, too, are huge. Which for me, is a good thing!

I'm throwing mine away the day I graduate. I despise our goofy navy blue lunch lady smock with all whites underneath. We look cafeteria workers, not nurses. Pt's don't trust as a rule when they see us in them, but as soon as we change into a specialty scrub (ER, OB etc.) we get instant respect. This happens to be the last year our school is requiring us to look like fools. Next years group gets to start with Burgundy scrubs.

Ours arent that bad...carribean green with white embroidery on the chest. Only problem is one of our clinical sites uses the same color with white embroidery for environmental svcs....you could imagine the mistaken identity.

Ours are hideous see thru white and we look like chefs.
Ugh. Worst thing I have ever worn!

Love ours. We where regular maroon scrubs with our school patch on the left sleeve. We also have the option of wearing a while scrub jacket with the patch on the sleeve. They are very comfy and I am happy with them.

We wear a very traditional uniform.
We have white pants with a seam down the front.
We have a white button down shirt with a collar. There is a patch on 1 arm and ribbons around both arms.
It's very traditional but I do like it. I think it means a lot to the patients and visitors too. They seem to respect us sometimes more then the nurses. I think we look very professional, we stand out and it's welcoming to people.
And yes I wouldn't have an issue working somewhere that required a more set uniform so that people could tell the RN from the LPN from the UC. Heck I'd wear the cap even.

Our local clinical uniform is white on white, I don't mind them, they actually fit pretty well for school scrubs, BUT the hospital my group does clinicals in recently went to all nurses wear white on white so we blend in a little too well, altho now we've been "capped" so that should set us apart lol When we go to Lakeland tho we have orange tops that just scream "I'm a student, don't ask me squat about nothin" lol

We can wear whatever we want- so I love it! LOL
Really? What type of program? Is it hospital or college based?
I'm a believer in uniforms for schools...across the board (meaning for children). I actually would be uncomfortable wearing whatever I wanted. I'm surprised that's done.
When you say whatever you want...does that mean scrubs or does that really mean anything?
