CCNE vs. NLNAC

What is the differences between these two agencies? Both state that they are the Dept. of Edcuation Accreditation agency for nursing. Are they both accepted nation wide? If I had to choose between schools from one or the other, is there a preference?

Thanks,

They are both accepted nation wide and it is pretty much a "6 of one, half-dozen of the other" situation. It is a total non-issue when applying for your license (or employment). If you ever apply to graduate school, some schools have a preference for one or the other but most just require that your undergrad school be accredited by one of the two. Some grad schools do still prefer NLNAC, but I am seeing this change more and more - most will accept either NLNAC or CCNE. Aside from that, no difference at all.
