Books for class

I'm starting at Everett cc in Jan.

Looking at books and wondering how difficult it has been for those in the past who did not purchase books or split the cost with a fellow student, aka sharing books.

I have a bs in biology and got through a majority of classes without buying books. Curious of how much the books were used by those whom purchased them.

Trying to keep costs low is all. ;)

I'm not nervous about the difficulties with learning only with the difficulties in the checkbook.

Thanks ahead of time for your responses.

I agree with those who said Amazon. If I would have purchased all my books at the bookstore new, it would have been $1,500. I got mine from Amazon, plus the study guides for the text books, for a little over $900. Saved me a lot of money :) I have found the study guides to be immensely helpful because they have NCLEX-style practice questions. I do them before the exam and then see what I missed. Whatever I miss, I focus my studying on those areas. Much more helpful than the CDs that came with the text (only gives 4 to 6 questions per chapter)

I would also recommend the book "Fundamentals Success"

Good luck!
