MOONIELOVE:o :( :)

Hi MOONIELOVE,

I just received my book list and we have 15 books to buy that will cost us about $600-$700. You can get them on campus or order them from Amazon or majorsbooks.com. I would check to see if there is a majors around your area and buy them there. I found they are about $4 a book cheaper than the college bookstore.

At my school we will have two instructors. I think one will teach some classes and the other will teach the rest. I know when we do clinicals we will have an instructor with us. My program is going to cost me around $5,000.00 in the end.

ack. please don't scream.

Moonielove,

Our course incorporates 25 different texts for an 11 month program. The course of the texts was included in the class cost. ($3700). There are 28 in our class. We have 3 instructors, laws in NJ state 1 instructor during clinicals to 10 students. As far as modules go, we mix and match so to speak, since everything is interdependent, each subject builds to and compliments the next. The first week was all micro we crammed a semester of micro in 5 maybe 6 days. (Still picking pieces of my brain off the wall.) Right now we are working on med terminology, anatomy and physiology and fundamentals all at once. Each program is different though. I would contact the school you are planning on attending and see how they format their curriculum.

Good Luck

Tres

(who really should be studying.)

I'd just add that I've had very good luck with Barnes and Noble. I got their Reader's Advantage Card for $25 and then get 10% off everything. The card has paid for itself many times over and I can ALWAYS find my book cheaper at Barnes than at campus bookstore. The retail cost is comparable to Amazon, etc. but with the discount, I end up getting a better deal. I've spent about $1200 for a 12 month program.

I always check half.com for my books. So far I have this semester I have purchased two books for the price of 1 at the bookstore and other places on the web. I have also sold several things from books to flashcards. I think they are a great resource and would definatly advise checking them out.

:)

HI I JUST CANT WAIT TO THINGS GET STARTED AND THEN ONCE THINGS GET ROLLING I WILL BE PULLING MY HAIR OUT. BUT I KNOW IT WILL BE FUN AND WELL WORTH IT.

THANKS TO ALL

MOONIELOVE;) :)

I just spent 400.00 on books for one semester. I try to save up money through out the previous semester so it won't be as hard to buy them. Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. I don't recommend Matthew Medical Books if your school uses them. You never get your books in a half way decent time or the boxes are always falling apart when they do get there. :)
