Best alarm clock tone for an iphone?

So, for some reason my new iPhone 4S's volume isn't... that loud.

Essentially, my biggest fear ever is sleeping through an alarm and missing a clinical or even a lecture.

Can you guys give me your tips for making SURE you always get up?

Are there any alarm clocks with built-in schedules so never forget to set it that aren't apps?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, my iphone is loud enough to wake me up. But I usually set 3-4 alarms at various times before I actually need to be awake, that way if I sleep through one, hopefully the next would wake me. Say you need to be out of bed no later than 6am, then set one for 5:30,5:40, 5:50, etc. You can set the alarm to go off every Monday, or whatever day. If you are still worried, I suggest investing in a bedside old school alarm clock :)

I downloaded wake n shake. It has a free version. It's really effective in waking you up because it won't stop ringing until you shake your phone really hard. :)

I would recommend to use your iphone AND get a regular alarm clock...just in case! :)

I noticed my "new" old fashioned cell, I can't use the alarm only function, have to leave the volume all the way up...but I am half deaf, of course don't wear my aides to bed.

Gee, I hear my iPhone so well that I stopped carrying a travel alarm clock when I travel for work. I have a 4S too, and although there are a lot of alarm clock apps out there, I find the one that is included in it (do you have the latest iOS update?) is actually the best.

If you haven't upgraded our iOS, do't be freaked out by the fact that it uses gobs of memory. First just be sure all your apps are backed up on your computer, then erase the ones on the phone that use up the most space to allow enough for the update. Update the iOS, which will use the space the old iOS used, then just sync with your computer and you'll have plenty of room for your apps back. I did this and discovered I had some junk apps I didn't want back, so it was all the better. :)

PS: I use the cuckoo clock. I hate it but it's fail-safe. But really, anything will do.

With the clock on iOS you can set several alarms, and set them to repeat on whatever days you need. I have three alarms set for clinical days that are about 15mins apart, then I have one for lecture days, and one for days off (I still have to be up with kiddos, just not as early). I rarely sleep through my alarms, I have the volume up all the way and use the most annoying of the sounds. Oh and I do not keep it too close to me, if I can just reach over and shut it off without Much effort I am more likely to fall right back to sleep, but if I have to actually roll over and reach for it I am more aware of what I am doing.

I had an iPhone 4s that was so loud that it woke the rest of the house up. I also had volume issues on older iPhone that was fixed at the Apple store. I would first get another more reliable alarm (or 2 I make sure you're not late) and then get yourself to the Apple store to see if you have a malfunctioning speaker.

i just find the most annoying one and turn it up loud. that way i have to wake up to turn it off, and i usually become very annoyed which gives the the fuel to get out of bed

The default sound "Alarm" tends to disturb me the most, so I always choose it. Remember to turn the volume up! I only use my phone to wake me up.

And how will this increase the volume?
