77 calendar days til my FINAL final exam of nursing school! (40 of those are class or clinical days)

I know I've posted about this before, but this is all I have been thinking about. Some days it seems like school is beating me down. The instructors are harsh (and sometimes hateful, and sometimes they just make you feel like hte biggest idiot in the world), the days are long, the care plans still suck, and sometimes if feels like it will NEVER be over.

I am happy that I have made it this far. Our school has a piss poor retention rate (because they try to kill you before you graduate) but I'm thisclose to graduating. I've put up with the hell for this long and I'm almost there.

when i started college (not nursing school itself, but the pre-reqs part of it) my son was 14 months old. Now he's 4 1/2 years old, the baby that was born 13 months into my schooling is 2 1/2. WHen i think of that, I really see how long I've been doing this, and how far I've come.

So! An encouraging post for those of us graduating soon! We are almost there.

3 months til graduation day

2 months, 27 days til pinning

77 days til final exam (its 11 days before graduation)

20 class days (5 tests, 1 exam)

20 clinical days.

thats my happy dance. I'm almost there and so are you!!

and for those who aren't there yet-It really has flown by. You'll be here before you know it.

About 10 more months for me! I know I'm counting them

When I started I had three in diapers and two of them still not crawling yet :chuckle

Now two of them are potty trained with one being stubborn Its amazing how far we have come!

I graduate in May :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: The journey originally started over ten years ago when I graduated from high school. I went to college for almost one year when I quit. i worked for eight years in a factory before going back to school four years ago. The time has flown by, and I can't wait for it to be over :balloons: :balloons:

to make myself feel better, i dont count until graduation, i count until the final exam. we have a week and a half between the final exam and graduation with nothing to do. so i count how long til i am academically DONE with school. 75 days now :)

I only have 3 days between my final and graduation, then only two days after that until my NCLEX review course! So, 70 days until my final, 73 days until graduation and 75 days until my NCLEX review course! UGH!
