We were also taught an unofficial ninth: Right equipment (meaning the correct type of syringe etc.) But the 8 were the "official" ones.

Edited to add: Our 8 rights are:

Right Drug

Right Dose

Right Client

Right Route

Right Time

Right Documentation

Right to refuse

Right indication
