General nursing school question

Published

So, I'm starting my nursing courses in August of 2013. I'm the type of person who likes to review things (very) early. Does anyone have any pointers on just general things one would learn in Nursing 1? Medical Terminology, anatomy overview, how long you should wash your hands for, etc? Thanks everyone :)

Honestly I didnt bother trying to review things prior to starting NS. The first semester was pretty much general info and they went into detail for the skills we needed to know (ie changing linens, positioning, BP, etc)

You could try some online lectures through iTunesU or purchase some books if you have spare time and are looking to learn stuff that will be reiterated through your nursing courses. I downloaded some apps and lectures and ordered a few books to help pre-game my pre-requisite courses.

Any chance you recall the names of the apps or books? I'd rather be ahead of the game rather than struggling to keep up.
