I want to take a course for Nurse Assistant or Nurse technician. I know the difference between them one has more responsibility than the other but i dont know which would be the better choice. Which one offers more job oppurtunities and which one pays better? Also I heard out of the city they pay better for both is this true? About how much do they pay in the city and outside the city? Im sorry for all the questions i just want to make the right choice. I have a daughter and have another on the way. The decision i make has to be right. thank you.

As far as pay levels, that'll depend greatly on where you live. You might consider going to the forum on this site for your particular state and ask the people there...or maybe get the mods to move this.

In our hospital you have to be a NA before training to be a tech. A tech does everything a NA does and more. A tech can insert a foley, do blood draws, start IVs etc. in our hospital. Pay is commensurate with experience.
