I have looked everywhere and asked all kinds of medical colleagues, but still haven't gotten the answer.
What is the "dip" in the center of the upper lip called?
It seems everyone knew at one time in their career, but we have all forgotten.
Please help me if you can!

All you ever need to know about the lips, mouth and teeth. From an artists viewpoint. Well, maybe not all, but enough.

It is the Frenulum.

frenulum: small membrane: a small fold of skin or membrane that limits the movement of an organ - an example is the band of tissue which attaches the bottom of the tongue to the floor of the mouth
2ndCareerRN, Philtrum..... thank you! Now I have found it in Mosby's...
babs_rn..., Frenulum is what most people said, but that's inside the mouth, not on the upper lip. 2nd CareerRN was right, its Philtrum.
Thanks for your help!
