What hospitals in NYC hire Associate Degree RNs?

Nurses General Nursing

Looking for hospitals in the Tristate area, all boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx) that hire ASN (associate degree) nurses. Thanks.

Also unrelated side question, do hospitals count LPN experience as nursing experience or no?

TIA!

You may want to do your research on NY hospitals hiring nurses with associate degrees and even reach out to the nurse managers there via email. Also, as far as I know LPN experience does count.

I did my research. The jobs I applied to all stated BSN preferred. There were some jobs that states BSN required, so I didn't apply to them. I'm just getting so frustrated because I'm applying to jobs I'm qualified for and still don't hear anything back. I have also been applying to nursing homes - even though I really don't want to work in a nursing home. I've working in LTC facilities for almost 3 years (as a LPN) and I hate it. I really would like to merge into acute care/hospitals.

Unless you already work at one, or know someone who can get you in, it has been my experience that no NYC hospitals hire ADN's.

Just bumping this thread. I'm looking to move up there for work (taking NCLEX in exactly 1 month). Are there ANY hospitals that will hire ADN in the city?
