Where I work it's Fri and Sat nights

Specializes in ER.

Saturday and Sunday nights....I would much rather have it be Fri. and Sat.

I work a lot of Fridays, have to sleep a while on Saturdays, so the weekend is pretty much shot, most of the time, even when its not "my weekend".

yeah, it's the same where I work; Saturdays and Sundays. So therefore, I work every Friday night and like you, it pretty much kills my weekends. Not *totally*, but have every other Fri. and Saturday off would be nice.

Weekends where I work are considered Friday, beginning at 7p and ending Monday morning at 7a.

yup, varies with institutional policy.....friday/saturday is the civilizied way,lol...short of including them all....

Specializes in Neonatal ICU (Cardiothoracic).

Fri-Sat-Sun 7p-7a is considered weekends here....

I work under the Weekends Incentive Program wherein I work 36 hours and paid for 40 hours.Friday 7am until Monday 7am for us is considered weekends and since I prefer to work on a P shift because of the shift diff ,I usually schedule myself to work on Fri, Sat and Mon in this way I am off on Sunday. At least i can still fulfill my Sunday obligation.:monkeydance:
