I was just wondering if any of you have a second passion or job other than nursing, I want to become a nurse and eventually a CRNA but I also want to find something else to do when I am not working as a nurse, maybe a part time business, Do any of you have a part time business or a second job - passion? What do you like to do when you are not working?

I love spending time with friends and family. While I was in nursing school I did not have a life. So life is very important to me. I work hard, so I play hard. I have friends who wants to open a business. I will help them as much as I can. They were very supportive my goals. I like to do things in groups to have fun. I would love to be an interior decorator. In this profession I would be able to take my time and make slow decisions. Good luck to you.

I have a 2nd job ... but it is nursing-related. I work full time in a hospital and teach 1 class per year at a university in a specialty of nursing that is totally diffierent from the one I practice in. Plus, I am WAY too active here on allnurses to the point where it sometimes seems like a job because the issues I get involved in are so closely related to my 2 nursing jobs.

It gets a little overwhelming at times. I think it would be much healthier for me if my "jobs" outside the hospital had nothing to do with nursing.

I fantasize about being a semi-professional online poker player and I do play several times per week. But as I only play for nickels and dimes and I lose more money than I make ... I am nowhere near my fantasies in that area.
