Nurses General Nursing

i'm in the middle of my first semester of nursing school.

i don't know how to tell you how grateful i am for what you've done for me.

your patience, kindness, sharing your expertise, not showing that i've probably thrown off your day, seeing the connection you have with the clients and the trust they have with you.

i'm a nervous wreck at the beginning of the clinical day, but your willingness to take the time to show me, to correct me, to guide me is giving me something that is beyond words.

you encouraged me to know what you know and to do what you do so well.

thank you, thank you

On behalf of all of us RNs who love students and are so glad you're there, thank you!! You will get some "rotten apples" on the floors, just as in any field, but don't ever take it personally. When that happens, just remember how YOU plan to treat students once you're out of school yourself. It worked for me.

There are some nurses on the floor in my clinical experiences that truly make me want to be exactly like them! I hope that I can exemplify their caring attitude and willingness to take on a student when I graduate. I think there are a lot of us in school that are so appreciative of the extra time that our preceptors take out of the day to help us out!
