Student nurse with tattoos

Hi,

I am a current nursing student and I will be starting clinicals next month. I have 6 tattoos, three of which will be visible. I can cover two of them up with long sleeves, however, the one on my hand is a different story. I have a butterfly on the top of my hand from my thumb to just past my index finger. Any suggestions on how to cover it?

If the rule is 'no visible tats' then your only option is gloves anytime you are within sight of a patient, family or visitor.

Well for school... makeup will work.. but once you get into labs and clinicals? Maybe a bandage?

Oh, yuck ....that's going to be one disgusting bandage.

True but makeup isnt an option.. it wont be there past the first handwashing, plus all the bacteria considerations. So a pocket full of large bandaids that you can reapply over the day might work.
