I am so darn tired on my days off, I just want to lay around and do NOTHING. I don't care about dinner, a clean house or anything. I just want to sleep. My body aches and I am JUST. PLAIN. TIRED. Is it just me?

Not just you. I am the same way. My job sucks the life and energy out of me. Forget about taking care of myself when it seems like my entire life revolves around caring for other people. Exhausted.

Balance.

If your life-plan isn't working, change it (says she who is currently on day two of closing the blinds and assuming the fetal-position).

Nope, not just you. I took a week off and am looking forward to sweats and my fuzzy pink robe. The best part? Sleeping in!!

It's not just you. On my 1st day off, all I do is sit around and watch tv. My body aches after doing 3 12s in a row.

I'm sorta like that except I care about food. So on my days off I sleep and eat.

I'm the same way. Only effort I make is to waste time on the computer. I care about food too, but won't bother with it unless it is already available in the house.

I have to chuckle to myself when the nurses in my faciity, most of whom are in their 20's, complain about being tired if they have to work 3 eight hour shifts in a week. I work 5 days a week and never have less than a 10-11 hour day.

And I haven't seen 20 in more than 30 years.

My husband, who works a traditional 9-5 desk job, is still in awe of the hours I work in one day. I wake up at 0545 and don't usually get home until 2030-2300. And it's only a fifteen minute drive for me.

'tho when he wants to be mean, he always points out that I ONLY work three days a week!

I am fighting the good fight right now. Work nights so just woke up, trying to decide if I want to be productive or just go back to sleep.
