I AM HOPING TO FIND SOME HELP FROM MY FELLOW NURSES.

MY FACILITY IS WRITING A POLICY ON SEXUAL HARRASSMENT COMING FROM A RESIDENT. I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

[Facility Name] expressly forbids any form of unlawful harassment.

"Sexual Harassment" is defined as:

1. Unwelcome sexual advances; requests for sexual favors; and all other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or otherwise offensive nature where

* Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly

a term or condition of care;

* Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used or has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working relationship as too client/patient/resident care.

Each member of management is responsible for creating an atmosphere free from discrimination and harassment, sexual or otherwise.

If a client/patient/resident reports any job related harassment, sexual or otherwise, the immediate supervisor is too be promptly notified and an incident report taken but, if you believe it would be inappropriate to discuss the matter with your supervisor, report it directly to Human Resources where upon an investigation will be made.

The accused will be seen by the Director of Nursing for immediate determination of appropriate action.
