Question, if you were 53 years old and got the opportunity to go back to school for 4 years free and you were an ADN nurse, what would you go back to school an take? Would you stay in nursing or go into a totally different career?

Not enough information here. 4 years to study under water basket weaving or 4 years to study Hot Yoga pants ?

Would I be forced to use that free education to support myself after the 4 years was over? If so, I would choose to study something that would lead to a career I really wanted to work at. I wouldn't focus on the education, but rather on the job that I would spend the rest of my life working in. Choose your education based on the job you want after you graduate.

I don't know what you should do, but I would choose the nurse practioner route. Why? Because I'm already a nurse and that would be the sensible, easier route rather than starting a whole new career.

I would stay in nursing and try to prepare myself for a desk job.
