Hello,

So I'm graduating high school in June. I've been accepted into many schools for Nursing. My top school is Rutgers School of Nursing-Newark. I got waitlisted for the school but I was accepted into the Arts and sciences. I want to take similar nursing courses my first year for 24 credits and then try to transfer in Fall of 2019 to the Rutgers Nursing school. But, I've talked to some counselors and they said I can transfer but It'll be really competitive. But I know I won't let my grades slip and I don't want to quit on Rutgers School of Nursing-Newark. It's my dream school and I feel like it'll be a perfect fit.

On the other hand, I got accepted into Saint Peters University! But for pre-nursing. Which I'm fine with because at least I'm in nursing.

I just don't know what to do because I want to go to Rutgers but Saint peters just seems like the smartest move. I just don't want to quit on Rutgers because I really want to attend their nursing school. I'm going to work hard for It and I'm determined. I just don't want to waste time or money if I never get in to Rutgers. I'm hoping and praying I get accepted soon though!

Please let me know your thoughts and any advice!

I'm not an active member so I can't vote on the poll but I would say 100% if you can go to Rutgers, do it. There are a lot of opportunities for growth and the name seriously helps when getting into top hospitals like Overlook/Morristown, Hackensack or even hospitals in NYC or even Philly. Last year's applicant pool was the most competitive than ever for Rutgers Nursing since they only took the top 2% of GPA & SAT scores.

But overall its a great accomplishment to get into nursing school. Even if you don't get in, make the most out of your 4 years and do your best! :)
