Reciprocity from California to New york

Hi,I wanna know if there's anyone here who done reciprocity from California to NYC for RN license.How long does it take? I heard that it would take 6-7 months.Im finding it hard to find a job here and would love to know if anyone tried license reciprocity does she/he really wait for how long to approved?
