Quincy College Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

I have applied to Quincy College's ASN part-time program for Spring 2018. I was wondering if anyone that has completed this program before could give me some insight. If I were to get in, does the program start right at the beginning of January or towards the end? Also, they said that we would be hearing if we got in or not around mid-October. Does anyone know when they usually do the orientation? Is it in October or is it closer to January? Thanks in advance!

Also if anyone else applied to the program and they start hearing back, please let me know!

I applied as well, waiting to hear back, I contacted admissions last week and they said by the end of this week, or next week decisions should be made. Apparently a lot of people applied. Not sure if that is really the case or an excuse to take longer

Aleja,

Thanks for replying. I had applied for the fall as well but I think they had a lot of applicants then too so I was put on the wait list. I'm hoping I have better luck in the spring.

You're very welcome, was hoping more people on here applied as well, doesn't seem like it. I actually called admissions this morning and the lady told me that tomorrow or by the beginning of next week they should be mailed out. Hoping that is the case , so I know if I should continue with the rest of my other applications. Did you apply else where or just quincy ?

I only applied to Quincy for Spring because I took most of my pre-requisites there and really like it so far. How about you?

I did Bunker Hill and Bay state, sending in a couple more after I hear from Quincy. If you don't mind me asking what did your TEAS and pre reqs grades look like

Do you know if we'll be notified by e-mail or just the mailed letter? I keep checking my QCPortal to see if anything's changed.

From what admissions told me this morning , letters will go out first and then you should receive email ,most likely letter will arrive first. it is not simultaneously as I was originally told. Are you a current quincy student? Will it show in the portal even if you arent a student

I literally have no idea. I'm a transfer student, I did all my pre-reqs at Bunker Hill.

For what it's worth, I called Admissions this afternoon and whoever I talked to said it was going to be 1-2 weeks before letters went out? Every time I call there to ask something it seems like the answers are different. Ten days ago someone said it would be at the "end of the week," so clearly that wasn't true. It's pretty frustrating.

This is what they had sent me back on October 2nd:

Same I am a Bunker Student Right Now , finishing up my Antomy2 and micro. I have called probably 4 times in the last 2 weeks, and you're right everytime they give me a different answer, 2 weeks ago they were just waiting on approval of someone before they sent the letter outs, the day after they told me they had too many qualified applicants and still needed time. Today she said either tomorrow or by the beginning of next week. Things seem to be pretty disorganized. I wish they would be more considerate and realize people need to know so they can move in with their lives and plan ahead.
