Hello all, i am a recent grad who has had no luck in getting a job.I understand that this is the cry of all however;I have a few ideas so here goes.I am thinking of using a few days going to LTC facilities and small hospitals to hand deliver resumes and cover letters. Is this advisable or do i just mail it in.I have already researched and will only go to facilities that does not have an online application process. For the others i will apply online.Any suggestions will be truly appreciated. Thanks

Walk it in. Hand it to the manager, if possible.

When we have someone mail a resume in, it is generally filed in the back, because it doesn't mean much to me. When someone takes the time to walk it in, and then sits and fills out an application as well, I know that person is really motivated. Furthermore, having a face to put with the resume makes it stand out more.

Bring your resume, cover letter, and confidence and SHOW them how great you would be for them.

A lot of places where I am (LTC) will put online that they are not currently hiring. Yet, I know people that work there, and I know that there are several positions open. Some places prefer face to face. IMO you can never go wrong to walk in. Even if they tell you to apply online, it still shows that you have initiative.

That is how I got my 1st job.

After applying online to hospitals and LTC that had online apps I went and mapped out all of the LTC/SNF in my area and applied and dropped off applications. A week later one of them called me to interivew and hired me

Thanks all, i truly appreciate. Well then i will be hand delivering and hopefully i will get something.
