1. I just found out that the hospital where I REALLY want to work is a Planetree hospital and it sounds AWESOME. From what the nursing recruiter was telling me, it is totally patient centered. A cart brings different food around and the patients can pick what they want; if they are able to take their own meds, they do; pets can visit 30 minutes a day; there is a kitchen where families can cook for the patients; volunteers come in and make cookies in the kitchen; aromatherapy is offered; massage is offered to patients and staff; the list goes on! I'm wondering if any of you work or have worked in a Planetree hospital and what you think of it.

The website for Planetree is if anyone is interested in looking at it.

I am currently working at just such a facility. The things you mention are just what I Have been searching for in a hospital since I graduated. It's not all roses and chocolate, though. Hospital CEO's and higher level managers are all alike as far as I can tell. But it is great to work with doc,s and others who are truly concerned about the patient and not their bottom line. Gary
