...or did you stay the same? Please add more if you like :D. I have a feeling I am going to gain, unless I plan my meals. I'm hoping that I am too busy to eat. LOL. That might help.... Read More

I gained 25lbs, and am also just beginning to take it off. Nursing school was very emotionally intense and triggered that desire to even when I was not hungry. If I could do it all over again (not that I have any desire to) I would take much better care of myself I think overall I would have felt a lot better to but you live and learn I guess.

I like what yesdog had to say... I start nursing school this fall and that is actually my #1 fear..lol. I'm trying to get in better shape before this fall as extra motivation in prepacking lunches and planning our dinners ahead of time..

Another thing I did was I parked my car as far away as possible, and I always took the stairs. This was sometimes the only exercise I got, but at least it was something!

I do that too. My classmates thought I was kooky because I'd park clear across campus and never take the elevator.
I figure I can't complain about gaining weight if I make no effort to somehow control it.

I gained weight! I started out with planned meals, even packing my own nice lunches and snacks. Then, I needed to study more, needed to practice more,..became so stressed out that not only did I eat a whole lot more I slept a whole lot less!

After the semester ended I still would wake up at 3am wide awake and couldn't get back to sleep. Finally, after a few weeks into my summer break I was able to sleep in till 7am, better my eating habits, and relax a bit.

Yup, I slept until 0900 today and thought my whole day was WASTED!!! Holy cow! After all those mornings of getting up at 0400 after going to bed at 0200, I feel like a complete lazy bum!!!!

I lost 40 lbs. I don't eat when I'm stressed, just the opposite.

Now that I'm done with school, working nights hasn't proved to be beneficial to the ole' waistline

I gained about 15 lbs during nursing school. One trick that I started using at the end of school that I wish I had done earlier was, as weird as it sounds, to buy a crockpot (aka slow cooker). Crockpots make it really easy to make a decent meal without investing a lot of time in the kitchen. You just dump vegetables/grains/proteins/spices/whatever in there, go to clinical or class or work, and you come back to something tasty and relatively healthy! I would often make large batches of things like lentils and rice and then pack them with me for clinical the next day. The protein kept me from falling into the dreaded junk food hospital trap! They have whole books on crockpot recipes now, including how to make desserts/drinks/etc in there. Check out Amazon.com!

I maintained. Now since I've done the RN thing, i've gained about 15 lbs. I blame it on the constant parties and lack of energy to exercise!

Gained 20 pounds too. I used to study for exams with a big bag of Blue Doritos..and yes I would study until I ate the entire bag. Terrible? Yes..but you know sometimes when your under stress its the only thing that you can do..eat. At least thats the way things go for me. Now that I am working I have aleady lost 10 pounds. But RN school starts all over again in the fall..and I will be taking up the suggestions of not bringing money/debit card to school that way I can't buy junk. Just hoping I can find a better way to study than eating while doing it!

I gained about 50 pounds. Yeah, since I just graduated I'm working on getting those off now. I'm a stress eater and would often study with food or take breaks and play video games, also with food. Do your best to take care of yourself during school, it's not always easy. And occasionally schoolwork comes before your own heath, it's sad but true.
