Non-license options

Nurses General Nursing

I am planning on moving to California in the next few months, but I am not sure my license will be endorsed due to their requirements for education (I did not take a microbiology lab in college, which they require).

Does anyone know of jobs that I could get that are health care related, but do not require me to have my RN license in that state? I am currently licensed in Michigan and in Wisconsin. I also have worked as a labor and delivery nurse for almost 2 years now, and worked in a nursing home prior to that.

There are no issues with my licenses, and am in good standing at the hospital I currently work at.

Most white collar nursing positions do not require a state specific license.

You can work for an insurance company with many, many different types of positions serving different functions.

You can also look into the medical manufacturing industry, they are always hiring consultants and educators.

Per-diem companies like Inventiv or Novasyte will hire nurses to educate on medical products around the country.
