My Face Feels Big

First of all, I am not looking for medical advice. I already know there is absolutely nothing in the world that is going to make me feel better. I just want to whine, that's all.

My face feels big,

I can't quit coughing,

I cough until I barf,

My nose won't stop running,

My eyeballs itch,

My everything hurts.

Ever felt so bad you didn't want to go to the drug store or grocery store for cough syrup? NyQuil? Halls Cough Drops? I'm sitting here thinking that I really need to go get some stuff (of course I have absolutely nothing in the house, b/f is a doc and we have drug samples of Effexor, Wellbutrin XR, stuff NOBODY needs samples of in their house) but I just can't haul my dead butt off my couch and face the cold. It's gotta be 50(F) out and when you live in the desert, that's COLD!

Do you think we would have drug samples of anything good? Amantidine? Delsym (sp?)?? Anything USEFUL? Oh my goodness NO!

You know how lazy I am? My pharmacy delivers but only if you are getting an Rx. I was thinking of calling my doc tomorrow and having him call in Ibu 400 just because it's an rx and they would deliver NyQuil with it.

This is even worse. I don't have anything in the house to feed my dogs but they both love Chinese food. I ordered Chinese to be delivered for the dogs. They are both still urping up Beef and Broccoli.

How long do you guys usually call in sick from work? Just until you can't pass it around anymore?

Feel better soon.

If I don't have stuff at home Ihave great friends that will bring me the drugs I need. How I love them.

Bipley, if I could bring it to ya, I would, girl.

That's pitiful to be so sick and not have anything to take.

Send the bf after something.

When I get sick like that I usually take at least 2 days off work, and I've been lucky enough so far that I could combine those with off days, giving a little more time to rest.

I feel for you!

Sorry to laugh, but your post was hellarious. Hope you feel better soon. If you have the time don't go back to work till you have to.

Maybe you're allergic to urping dogs.

Well, you know what they say--no good deed goes unpunished.

I'll come get you some NyQuil if you pay for my plane ticket. I'll even stay and take care of you. It's snowing in Indiana and the idea of 50 degrees sounds sooo nice right now.

Hope you feel better soon. Hopefully it won't last too long. As far as calling in, my theory is you don't want to take it to work so pts. can get it so stay home until you no longer have a fever or barfing. I have a feeling if you feel as bad as your post that the nm or supervisor will understand.

Take care Bipley.

Man, 50 degrees- that's swimming weather where I come from. WE go out and sun ourselves and complain about the sunburn when it gets that warm! Sheesh, I'm hoping this winter that we don't get too many days that are below 0degrees- Farenheit.

But ordering out for the dogs- that's just pathetic...and I am guessing that you felt too crappy to eat any of it. Waste of good Chinese I say. Call up the restaurant again and tell them you want a gallon of their hottest soup. It'll clean out your sinuses, and the smoke from your nostrils will scare the dogs into submission.

If you plan on giving away Chinese food again I am flying down too. MAYBE I'll bring you some Nyquil...or maybe just a bottle of suntan lotion and a floppy hat. Hope you feel better by the time I get there.

Aww....Bipley, you poor thing!:crying2:

Sorry you feel bad, but you made my day!:chuckle

Yeah, you sound like I did when I first moved here. During the daytime it is lower 70's or so. First year I was here I saw little kids walking to school in lower 70's with mittens, furry hats, parka type coats, and I used to think that was sooo funny.

After 20 years in the desert I'm a big 'ol weenie just like they are. I don't feel the need to turn the a/c on until it gets to around 85-90. Believe me, I don't try to save money when it comes to utilities, I live in the desert and I refuse to be hot. I just don't get hot until it's around 90.

But now, it's just too darn cold outside for any living creature!

BTW... I have the suntan lotion here for you already. I have every brand, every scent, every number. Just bring NyQuil, CHERRY flavored!
