Men as nurses?

Wow, that's a high ratio! I my program there are ~140 students and only ~10 guys. Thats what, about 7%? From what I read, that's about the ratio of male RNs in the field too.

Male nurses----- One intervened and probally saved my daughter from a serious condition at a sporting event when a misinformed parent mistook dehydration for anaphylaxis and was going to administer her epi-pen to her. He stopped that parent and saved my daughter a lot of misery. You will be known by your deeds not your gender. So go for it. MICU RN gives excellent advice. Good luck in whatever you choose.
