Med Tech/SIC

So I work in an assisted living and there's a lot of drama at the job but this particular incident took the cake. A med tech/sic did something so grimey she intentionally stole a narcotic to set another coworker up. They are both under investigation but her friend tonight basically slipped and told on her she said "I wish she took and thew away two of those ******* (narcotic)". Immediately texted my other coworker and told her she need to tell the DON ASAP! I haven't heard back but my question is would I be under investigation now since. I know this information.

How about just reporting what you know about this narcotic theft to the appropriate person?

You're way more likely to get canned if you are discovered to have withheld facts about a narcotic theft than if you just report the facts you know.

I sure hope these are not people with whom you willingly associate any more than to have a common place of employment. I'll hazard a guess and advise you to start choosing your friends more wisely, pronto. Just go to work and do your job the way you know you're supposed to. If you choose to try to be chummy with those who do this kind of nonsense you will not remain unscathed.

Report what you know, facts only and then just keep out of it. Trust me, keeping your head down when there is drama is the smartest thing to do. Do not embellish, do not add and do not allow your emotions to cloud your report. Reports only facts and that is it.
