LVN, CC or VT school? or ADN ..

Nurses General Nursing

Hello!

I am 23 and a single mother who is really wanting to jump start my career.

I just recently moved to Texas and I've been searching for schools. I want to get into the nursing field as soon as possible but, with the community colleges I wont be able to start yet because I still have to take A&P for Spring '16. Well, at El Centro, I can apply for their ADN program as well after I take A&P because I have taken several classes towards my BSN.

Here's my dilemma. I know I cannot work full time while I am in school and I am struggling trying to pay bills as it is now. I've been going back and forth about the Vocational Schools. I could start in January, but is 20k worth it coming out as only an LVN? But, I don't think I can afford to go to school for two years straight without working full time for my ADN.. with daycare costs that's just not even feasible. I was thinking I could get my LVN now, and go back for my BSN when my son is in regular school system. He just turned 3. So I wouldn't have long to wait. Plus I could get experience as an LVN as I wait... Community COllege? Tech School? OR ADN?

I know I may be all over the place with this post, but I need some suggestions on the BEST option!
