Hi. I am embarassed to admit it, but I am completely useless at math. I have a college degree w/a high GPA, but I have been out of highschool math and science for 20 years. I am terrified of the TEAS entrance test and I only have a month to prepare. Is this possible if I get the study materials offered by ATI??

THanks. Any advice/help is appreciated.

No need to fear the TEAS....the format is the same as in the book, the math portion, you will need to practice, there are 45 questions and you are only allowed 45 minutes, time is of the essence so you will need to work quickly, after 45 minutes the computer time you out and you are not allowed to go back.

If you practice you should do well, you have enough time to prepare...good luck, let me know how you do.

Thank you. I appreciate the response. So would you say that if I study the book that is put out by ATI for the month I will have enough of the information for the science and math portions? I am not too concerned about the English/reading sections. Sorry to bother you again, but this is a huge undertaking for me. I actually just completed an advanced degree and despite great recommendations and strong GPA I can't find work. The thought of starting all over and perhaps not even making it past first base (with the exam) is overwhelming.

I read on this site, I think, that you shouldn't take the TEAS unless you've taken A&P...if this is the case, I am really sunk. I haven't had BIO since highschool.

Thanks, again.

I took the Teas for Cochran school of nursing .......there were no science questions, only math, english, comprehension and spelling.

You need to find out from the school that you are taking the test for, if there are any science questions.....if the answer is yes, then definately you need to know general biology, A&P, chemistry, etc.

The book is pretty straight forward, from what I see, it would help to have an understanding of the science subject(s).....order the book and then take it from there.

DID you take the test? did you pass
