Lifting patients

Hi - I'm interested in learning more patient lifts. I'd love to know your opinion of the best and the worst equipment. What do you like or dislike about the equipment you have used? What problems would you have if you didn't have this equipment? If you can think of a specific case, that would be great. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Ceiling lifts in every patient room - absolute greatest investment. I wouldn't work anywhere without them.

Love ceiling lifts. However, the kind that have to be docked to charge can be a PITA. I prefer the type that will charge regardless of docking status.

We have two brands of ceiling lifts. We had 4 rooms with one brand and the rest of the hospital in the other. I don't want to talk bad about the brand we don't like. But the brand we did like is Romedic. They have really good training and customer service compared to the other. They also have accesories that make the lifts way more valuable. We have been very pleased with the new ones. Only draw back as I've always said is that the initial cost was a little bit higher for the romedic but I would say well worth it.
