License Verification from CA to another state

I'm an RN and FNP I was originally licensed in CA as an RN and let my license expire when I moved out of state. I hold an active RN and NP license in GA. I am trying to do some locum tenens work and have been waiting for CA to send my license verification to several states. Their web site says it can take 4-6 months. Would it speed up the process if I went to CA and walked through the system to get speed up the verification process?

Any help or ideas woud be greatly appreciated.
