Hello groups,

I am thinking of going to movie to colorado once I finish nursing school.

I was wandering if anyone on here has ever send a letter of interest to a hospital that they want to work in? Or is it okay to call an hr nursing program that I would be looking into. Just to ask them about new hire positions and degree programs.

Thanks,

NYC to COLORADO. Sounds great!

I think you are being too timid. Go online and call, call, call to find out if they are even doing a new grad program at all. If they are doing a program it's going to take all you've got to even be considered over new grads that live in the area and have high level connections - which means they already have a spot for whatever the hospital has in the way of openings.

I'm in CO and it is a very tight job market for new grads. Go online and look at the hospitals web sites. They have all the info. It is very hard to get a nurse recruiter to call you back. So be aggressive. Good Luck!
