Legal issue!

  1. NP-C or FNP-C? My professor at my university used FNP-C. But am I legally obligated to sing my name NP-C?

If you haven't done so yet, you should visit your state's board of nursing website to determine if there are specific criteria detailing how you should identify yourself professionally. If not, there are generally two factors to consider; three if you include your degree. If you are going to include your degree, it should be listed first. After degree, place your licensure. This will be determined by your state's board of nursing and will vary from state to state. And last, list your certification, as defined by the certifying agency. In addition, the agency for which you work might have specific guidelines as well.

Congratulations on finishing school, and best wishes on the job search if you haven't yet Ben extended an offer.
