Last semester in nursing, freaking out

Hey guys,

thanks for taking the time to read this.

Basically I'm just freaking out because I feel like I'm failing at nursing. I'm doing great in my preceptorship but class-wise not so well. We've had 4 exams, two left, and one final that counts for 25% of your score. My scores have been 73.3, 98.3, 66, and 75. After my first score I understood the teachers method of testing and did great. Another proefessor did exams 3 and 4 and although I studied relentlessly and felt confident in the material I did not do well at all. Im only working 2 days a week for about a total of 10 hours. From what I gathered its not just me, everyone in my class left our last exam extremely upset and did not stay for the professors lecture stating it was just a waste of time because it doesn't help. I don't know what else to do. I got an email from that professor today about "concerns of my academic success and withdrawal protocols" and it upset me so much. I am at a 78.3 my programs passing score is a 76 so I'm close but I am not failing just yet. My self esteem has fallen so much and I feel like I'm doing all I can but its still not enough... help.

Have you discussed your situation with your professor? That would be your first step.

Hi ladybug, I'm really sorry that you're having trouble, but honey there is always hope. Don't give up just yet! Your first step is to speak with your professor about your scores and ways you can improve. Maybe its the way you're understanding the questions?? I found that sometimes, the problem isn't learning the material, but more so learning to apply the material to questions. If you can review the missed questions for a better understanding, that may help. Keep your head up !
