Hi,

I was wondering if there is a RN to patient ratio in a nursing home in Wisconsin? How many RN's does a nursing home have to employ? Would anyone know where I can find out? Thank you and have a save and happy Memorial Day.

look on the states health web site. It should be around there some where.

I think there is a link to all of the staffing ratios or something like that in the LTC stickies.

You may be able to get more information from the folks mentioned on this link:

or your Secretary of State should know.

I have never heard of any longterm care having an RN:resident ratio. Federal regs require that an RN be in the facility 8 consecutive hours, but the reg mentions nothing about the number of residents.

(And the RN for 8 hours, does not necessarily mean that RN is working on the floor)
