Irritating Talent Aquisition "Specialists"

Nurses General Nursing

venting.....

i just am getting so tired of receiving emails from "talent aquisition specialists" that seem to want me to interview for positions but then drop off the face of the earth. i am such a sucker.

"this is a very exciting and new opportunity that we would like you to be part of!" and, "please email me directly at suzieflake@bighospitalnetworkinmyarea. (complete description of the job is included, why i should work for them, etc.)

suzie flake

talent aquisition specialist

big hospital network in my area

no follow up of course. i stop what i'm doing and run off to get my "pretty" resume, etc. and specific cover letter off to suzie, and then don't hear from her again. i know of this hospital network and it's sad that their talent people are so unprofessional. i am a business woman first, nurse second. you do not send an inquiry request to another professional without even a courtesy followup. just don't do it.

I agree with you. Rates right up there with hiring someone and then not providing them with work.

I got this email yesterday from this talent plus....I told her on the phone that I have already had 2 interviews with this facility, she said this was more personality type. I am confused cause the manager never said anything to me about this.

I dunno if it's legit or not.

Good Afternoon Shannon,

I hope this message finds you well. I am getting in touch with you from Talent Plus on behalf of Bon Secours Health System to schedule your over the phone interview. When you have a minute, would you please call the Global Talent Interviewing Center at 1-800-***-**** to get it scheduled? Our hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warm Regards,

Hard to say, but that sounds like a trolling outside agency, not an inside recruiter. I'd just email the NM you have already met from here on in.

I did, she replied back that this is something new the main company is doing...oh but BTW HR would be calling with a job offer in a few days! :-D
