Nurses General Nursing

Hey everyone. I have a interview tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has an idea of pay for a independent behavioral health RN? It is not affiliated with a hospital, and is for profit. It is located in SC. I am afraid they are going to ask me for a figure, and I don't want to be to far off. Thanks for any help. Wish me luck! Its my only call so far....

I've always been told to NOT name a figure if/when asked. My reply has always been "That is certainly something we can discuss, should I be offered the position."

I take it that in today's world/economy, that doesn't fly??

indipendent means no benefits here in south florida is about 35 plus differentials

with benefits its about 27 i think ... not sure

I would have no problem saying between 45 and 55 a year.

Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately new nurses don't normally get asked much about salary as the hourly/salary is usually pretty much set "in stone" at most facilities for new grads, unless u did an internship or externship at the facility after graduation (them pay may be slightly increased).

Good luck on your interview!
