It would be thank you for giving me this opportunity. Thank you for being so open to opinions and suggestions. Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring about patients. And thank you for caring about your employees.

My boss is awesome.

For the 1st time in my Nursing career (since 2001) I'm thinking about changing my profession. I can't take it anymore. My boss has created a terrible working environment. She has came in and turned our unit upside down. She has given us more change than Obama promised during his campaign. The motto of each Nurse when they come in, "What has changed since I was here a few days ago?" We share in the fear of making mistakes. Communication sucks. We feel we can talk to no one without being retaliated against.

Now the new thing is she has decided to pit all of us against one another. She is interrogating each Nurse to find out what everyone else is doing while she isn't there. She wants each of us to rat one another out. I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!! It has become a shark pool from H*ll..

Do we work at the same place?!?

You guys make me appreciate my boss even more than I did before!

So one positive comment for a boss, and 15 negative comments. I hope I can luck out and get a good boss. But I'm not depending on it.

My DON is the best. She is laid back, listens to you. Our administrator however, is chicken-little.

It's not a question of luck. While your prospective employer is interviewing you, you're interviewing them. You have to decide in advance what's most important to you. I put the character of the people I'll be working for and with right at the top of my list.

"I QUIT!" lol I am too excited, I just was offered a Job in the ER about 30 mins ago so that is what I want to say to my empolyer instead of putting in a notice. "I QUIT". btw, I graduate next month fromnursing school so I would be quitting my job as a unit secretary, not a nursing job.

Working as a house supervisor, my boss asked me if I was staff oriented or institution oriented. Told he staff oriented and I'm giving 2 weeks notice now. She fired me on the spot. I don't see a differance between the staff and the institution goals. Wont work for a person that does. Take good care of the patients and everybody's happy. Don't do your job and you should find one you can do.
